Terms of Service

Greenback is a crowdsourced price-spotting game. You submit prices and receipts; we score, rank, and showcase them. Greenback is provided for informational and entertainment purposes. Prices change constantly and we make no guarantee that any spot reflects the current price at any store.

• You must be at least 13 years old (16 in the EU/EEA) to use Greenback.
• You're responsible for the security of your account and all activity under it.
• You may not share accounts, run multiple accounts to inflate scores, or use bots.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or community rules.

You retain ownership of the spots, photos, and other content you submit ("Your Content"). By submitting, you grant Greenback a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual license to host, store, reproduce, modify, create derivative works of, publicly display, and distribute Your Content in connection with operating, promoting, and improving the service and producing aggregated pricing intelligence.

You represent that Your Content is yours to submit, doesn't violate anyone's rights, and doesn't contain confidential or sensitive personal information of others. Redact any personal info on receipts before uploading.

You agree not to:

• Submit false, misleading, or duplicate spots, or manipulate leaderboards or battles.
• Scrape, reverse engineer, or interfere with the service or its security.
• Post unlawful, harassing, hateful, infringing, or harmful content.
• Use Greenback data for commercial purposes without a written agreement.
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with a store or brand.

Points, badges, ranks, and any virtual rewards have no cash value, are non-transferable, and may be adjusted, revoked, or reset at our discretion (for example, to remove fraud or rebalance the game).

Greenback references retailers, brands, and products owned by third parties. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by those parties unless explicitly stated. Links to external sites are provided for convenience and we are not responsible for their content.

You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, the community rules, or applicable law. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (licenses you granted, disclaimers, liability limits, dispute terms) will survive.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT PRICES ARE ACCURATE, COMPLETE, OR CURRENT.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, GREENBACK AND ITS AFFILIATES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100).

You agree to defend and indemnify Greenback against claims arising out of Your Content, your use of the service, or your violation of these Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.

We may update these Terms. We'll post the new version with an updated date and, for material changes, notify you in-app or by email. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the changes.
